A little bit of exposure

My photo
Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom
Being an Urban Explorer and a keen amateur photographer gives me the chance to document and record derelict and abandoned buildings that are not normally seen. It's a hidden and forgotten world of true beauty and natural decay.

The Enchanted wood

There's unrest in the forest, there's trouble with the trees. For the Maple's need more sunlight...but the Oak's ignore their plea's.

Lyrics taken from a song entitled.......
The Trees.

I just adore woodland...I find them magical and majestic.

Coming back to life

I rather like this image in It's altered state! and the title gives it a very atmospheric feel.

When I first took this shot it was the line of the trees that caught my eye.

I suppose I'm lucky living on the edge of beautiful countryside. I need no excuse for being out there.

Going green

Just passing away It's time in the grassland.

A little bit of photo workshop magic.

Technique needs a bit of polishing! But you get the general idea.

Just adds a little humour to something different.

Breaking Dawn

The early bird catches the worm.

I don't normally rise this early, but on this occasion I'm glad I did.

This was the scene that greeted me upon opening the bedroom curtains.

Home is where the heart is

The dramatic limestone country of the Yorkshire Dales national park.

This is a part of Gordale Scar in Malhamdale. Carved out by the melting glaciers.

A photographers paradise.

Flying High

I must profess to partaking in the art of plane spotting! Although I prefer not to be stigmatised as being part of the anorak brigade.

Tail shot of the Thomas Cook's striking livery.

Simple lines make the composition.

Bad hair day

"Their coming to take me away"

Looking totally fed up in It's straight jacket.

It took me a while to get this shot. Everytime I pointed the camera it just took off down the field.

Whats the old saying!..."You can't lead a horse to water"

Patience is a virtue.

Magic Carpet

The consolation of facing North.

The demise of a crumbling wall is now full of life with this tumbling cascade of moss.

Yorkshire Grit

I wanted to convey the sheer ruggedness
of my local area in a way thats not normally perceived.

It's a land of dry stone walls.

I like the way the colours seem to compliment each other in the late afternoon sun.

Against the norm

I prefer the reportage approach with the element of surprise. In my opinion it gives the image a more natural feel.
My friend was totally unaware this was being taken. He was engrossed in watching the planes land at Manchester Airport.
He's now been labelled as Mr.Cool

Rivers of belief

There's something magical about water. A relentless quest to It's journey's end

I have spent many years battling against It's formidable force whilst exploring the Caves and Potholes.

It has my upmost respect.

Up close and personal

Animals are just like us! Inquisitive.

It didn't take long before this bovine beauty decided to come for a nosey.

Makes you wonder what it was thinking.

Yorkshire puddings came to mind?
